After Robot dragonfly “The DelFly Micro”, There Will Be “DelFly Nano”

Students of Technical University of Delft has finished their project of “the DelFly Micro”, a flying robot dragonfly. This four inches and a wingspan Robot dragonfly is able to identify objects and survive in a disaster area and also can fly as fast as a real dragonfly. It because of Robot dragonfly “The DelFly Micro” is completed with a tiny camera strapped upon its tiny wingspan that drived by a software.

The researches of Delft University said that this Robot “The DelFly Micro” Dragonfly are going to continue their study in next project of “DelFly Nano”, the next smallest dragonfly robot after “The DelFly Micro”. Let see what it is look like. And wait what next tiny animal robots they will be invented after this.



Hitachi has introduced their new robot EMIEW2

Hitachi has introduced their newest robot, called EMIEW2 (Excellent Mobility and Interactive Existence as Workmate). It is a smart robot that can detect the differences between three human voices simultaneously. That’s why it has 14 microphones on the head. The function of the recognition is as the result of sound source separation and sound pattern recognition. The sound source is to ignore the other side around the people who are talking and it makes the robot focuses with that person, and it can detect voices spoken till 2 m. The EMIEW2 is a robot with 80 cm of height, and 13 kgs of weighs. The robot can walk too, because it has two wheels under of its legs. Hitachi does not mention the price yet or when its available.
